- Casting auditions are on Wednesday 22 July from 7:00 pm
at Peninsula Theatre, Cnr McMasters and Ocean Beach Road, Woy Woy. - Auditions are open group auditions with a set time allocated for each director.
- Arrive from 7pm to register and familiarise with each play.
- Please send in the expression of interest below now so that we have an idea on numbers.
- Auditions pieces are available on the night - no need to bring.

Caveat Venditor by Frank Wiffen directed by Samantha Young
Genre: Fantasy/comedy/horror
Synopsis:
Business Admin Manager Paul Allcock is not very popular at the company where he
works. His loyal but overworked and unappreciated PA, Priscilla, can attest to that.
He prides himself on being a hard-headed, no-nonsense businessman.
Two women from Tick Tock will challenge his worldview. Poised and professional,
they are supremely confident in the value of their product even though their methods
are somewhat unorthodox.
Will Mr Allcock see through their skilfully woven strategy?
Characters
Mr Allcock – Unlikeable Business Admin Manager for a large company.
Priscilla Crabbe – Extremely capable P/A and unappreciated dogsbody, does most of Allcock’s work.
Maisy Bell - Elite saleswoman for Tick Tock Enterprises - glamorous and refined.
Agnes Morgan - Maisy’s assistant and biggest fan.
Setting – Consists of 2 visitor’s chairs in front of a desk with a speakerphone, a chair behind the desk and a spare chair off to the side..

Curtain Close by Sally Davies directed by Tina Baker
Genre: Comedy
Synopsis:
The sale of an old theatre provokes an argument between a young real estate agent and an elderly woman. Demolition or preservation? Old theatres hold memories . . . and secrets. Who holds the winning hand?
Characters
WENDY: Female. 70+ years old.
STEVE: Male. 30s. Real estate agent wearing a suit.
Setting – Community Hall that has also been a theatre.

Time travel introductory workshop for the temporally challenged by Trudi Slavin directed by Paul Karton
Genre: Comedy
Synopsis:
In 2050, time travel is the shiny new technology everyone wants to play with. When three people gather in the community hall of their retirement village to do just that, things don’t go as planned. Their cheerful and deeply patronising tutor is happy to demonstrate the technology, evangelising about this pinnacle of human achievement and teaching them the rules of use. When these pensioners don’t play by those rules, they soon learn there are serious consequences to meddling in the timeline - a timeline, it turns out, that has already been badly skewed by others before them. But one of the three pupils has come with an agenda, a last-ditch mission she must carry out - and it might just save the world.

Genre: Drama
Synopsis:
Olivia and Mike have led very different lives and neither one was ideal. But dire circumstances make strange bedfellows. So when opposites attract, just when does the captive become the captor? Only time will tell.

One Yellow Sock by Khym Harris directed by Trudi Slaven
Genre: Drama
Synopsis:
A play exploring the things we love, lose and try to find again and again and again…regardless of how painful this cycle might be and how much time it may take.
Through gentle dialogue, two people try to understand the formula for lost socks (yes, there is an actual scientific formula) and to make sense of their respective love and ultimate losses.

Setting – A warm, inviting shop reminiscent of a colourful, yet eclectic, laundromat.

The Do-Over by Jarrod Rizzardo directed by Samara Dawson
Genre: Comedy
Synopsis:
We all love to make good first impressions, however in Chris’ case he may not need to. He will learn quickly that having the perfect answers isn’t always the best when it comes to finding true love, and that getting everything right might be the fastest way to get it all wrong.

Setting – A slightly fancy restaurant, with a table set up nicely for two.

Time Will Always Tell by Yuley Buist directed by Stephen Pembroke
Genre: Satire
Synopsis:
Story line is 2 younger witches having lived in the past are now living in the present. Seeing the world in trouble decide to call on their MacBeth cousin to help cast a spell against the evils they see. Inspired by the Bard and acknowledgement to MacBeth.
Characters
Ages range, females though Verity should look quite old
Mazel:(rhymes with Hazel) Holds herself in authority, ranges between overly theatrically dramatic (italics) and not.
Sami: went along for the ride, has taken to modern day living and weed. Dresses more brightly hippy/ pagan vibe.
Verity: Called from messing with MacBeth. Old school witchy crone.
Setting – Dark Woods

Time Becomes Electra by Jenna Arnold directed by Jenna Arnold
Genre: Farce/Comedy
Synopsis:
A media/CGI company is contracted to make a docuseries based on plays and stories from ancient literature for a streaming media platform. The Producer, Alexandar, a lover of AI and new media technologies, without considering possible consequences, hires a classically trained theatre team to bring to life the world of ancient Greek literature. The cast, committed to the values of live theatre are excited with this opportunity. To meet required time constraints, the play has been cut into vignettes that together, bring the play to life. Can the eternal stories of ancient Greece filled with love, revenge and death overcome the clash of time and technology to find a compromise?

LYSSA: Plays herself and the character Lysistrata.
CALLIE: Plays herself and the character Calonice.
JONATHON: Director for the docuseries.
ALEXANDAR: Producer, focused on money, time and the numbers.
